
Simran Rawat
Global Environments Network Programmes Lead and Communication Liaison
In her role as Global Environments Network (GEN) Programmes Lead and Communication Liaison, Simran Rawat works on managing GEN programmes to support our 700+ GEN members and expand the network’s activities and engagement. She also leads on ensuring cohesive communication across GDF’s platforms to highlight our work and that of our changemakers. She holds an M.Sc. in Social and Public Communication from the London School of Economics, alongside certification in Management from University College London and in first aid from the British Red Cross.
For almost 10 years, Simran has led her own non-profit organisation, called A Cry For Help Foundation, which works towards improving adolescent mental and sexual health in India. She is incredibly passionate about gender equality and has worked with women from marginalised communities on varied issues that concern them. She has also spoken about gender justice in several forums such as TEDx, the UN Memorial Hall, podcasts, panel discussions and summits.
