Community Liaison

Pommelien is deeply passionate about the intersection of cultural heritage, community resilience, and environmental conservation. Having worked with the Global Diversity Foundation between 2017 and 2022, she rejoins the team as Senior Programme Officer to support cultural heritage initiatives alongside livestock and agronomy activities within the High Atlas Cultural Landscapes (HACL) programme.

In her current role, Pommelien acts as a community liaison—collaborating closely with the field team to organise and design project activities—and leads the cultural heritage project through partnership coordination.

Pommelien holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Communications from K.U. Leuven (Belgium). Based in Moroccosince 2016, she loves exploring mountainous landscapes, documenting local biodiversity and cultural practices.
