Tshering Tobgay is a research officer at the Royal Society for Protection of Nature, a grassroots NGO established in Bhutan by the beloved Fourth King of Bhutan. Coming from the Himalayan country of Bhutan, he dedicates himself to conserving the kingdom’s biodiversity and implementing livelihood projects to benefit local communities.
In his role as a conservationist and manager, Tshering Tobgay is actively involved in various projects aimed at safeguarding Bhutan’s biodiversity, mainly focusing on saving the critically endangered White-bellied Heron, considered one of the rarest species in the world, as well as other birds and otters. Tshering is enthusiastic about continuing his work in conserving biodiversity and enhancing the well-being of local communities.
