Safari Bahati Jean-Jacques
Safari Bahati Jean-Jacques is the founder and CEO of Alphome Community Farms in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Growing up in a rural area where communities depend on the land, he witnessed firsthand the challenges of poverty, environmental degradation and limited opportunities. These experiences sparked his passion for sustainable agriculture and conservation.
Through determination and grassroots work, he launched initiatives like AgriGuard360 to empower local farmers with sustainable practices and innovative tools such as satellite monitoring. His journey has been shaped by resilience—navigating obstacles, including limited resources and systemic barriers, to build solutions that honour both people and nature.
He is deeply committed to empowering youth and women, believing they are vital agents of change. Participating in the Community Engagement Exchange Program expanded his global perspective, strengthening his leadership and vision. He is excited to join this fellowship to learn, share and grow alongside a community of changemakers dedicated to protecting the planet and uplifting vulnerable communities.
