Ruei Hoth Gony KUOK
Ruei Hoth was born in Fangak County, at the Heart of the Sudd Wetland, North of South Sudan. He has been in the humanitarian and development fields since 2008. He is the Executive Director of the Agency for Conservation and Development, a national NGO he founded in 2010, on projects focused on local communities’ learning about the need for human-wildlife relationships and the importance of their socio-economic existence to thrive peacefully at the Sudd Wetland.
Over the years, Ruei has underwent several trainings in conflict resolutions, peacebuilding, business, protection and resilience and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Procurement and Logistics Management at Cavendish University (2014), Master of Business Administration in Project planning and Management at Bugema University (2022), and now in his fourth year studying Bachelor of Laws from the University of Juba. With sponsorship from Wildlife Conservation Network, he will start an Executive Master of Business Administration majoring in Conservation this September 2025 from African Leadership University, Rwanda.
