Pommelien da Silva Cosme
Pommelien is passionate about people and the environment. She graduated from the K.U. Leuven (Belgium) with a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Communications. Before moving to Marrakech in 2016, she took a course in International Development at the Belgian Development Agency.
Pommelien works for the Global Diversity Foundation as Morocco Programme Director to support the successful implementation of their High Atlas Cultural Landscapes programme. She leads on HACL grant management and donor relations, and oversees the management of GDF’s team in Morocco. Based in Marrakech, she carries out regular fieldwork to monitor field operations and delivers creative and engaging communications to effectively showcase GDF’s work. Pommelien is passionate about telling people’s stories and connecting with local communities. She is keen to expand her knowledge about environmental education and building projects that support a healthy relationship between people and their environment.
