Nicholas Kirpatrick Kee

Nicholas Kee is a climate entrepreneur, ocean advocate, and community builder from Jamaica. He is the founder and CEO of Kee Farms, a regenerative ocean farming initiative working across island states to restore marine ecosystems, sequester carbon, and create dignified livelihoods for coastal communities. Through the cultivation of seaweed and oysters, Kee Farms blends traditional knowledge with nature-based solutions to regenerate biodiversity and support climate resilience.

Nicholas is also leading the development of Kee Farms’ Biodiversity Ecosystem Services Repository, a digital tool designed to make ecological data more accessible and actionable for frontline communities, policymakers, and funders. His work sits at the intersection of conservation, technology, and justice.
With a background in youth diplomacy and grassroots organising, Nicholas has represented Jamaica as a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador and has trained thousands of young people through his earlier nonprofit, Next Gen Creators. He is a fellow of the Aspen Festival, Halcyon, and Watson Institute.

Whether on the coast with fisherfolk or on the global stage, Nicholas is driven by a single vision: building regenerative systems that work for people and planet. He believes that climate solutions must centre those most impacted—and that biodiversity protection can also be a pathway to economic sovereignty.
