Bharathidasan Subbiah began his journey into environmental protection and wildlife conservation in the 1990s. He is an active grassroots-level conservationist with 30 years of field experience in the areas of Wildlife, environmental protection and afforestation techniques, who is passionate about protecting ‘Mother Nature’ from several anthropogenic pressures; his concern and measures taken to protect the same, facing several hardships is truly exceptional. He has written four books on the environment in the Tamil language. He was selected as one of the fifteen recipients of Global Hotspot Hero by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund for his passionate contribution to vulture conservation.
