For over twenty years, we have supported communities and changemakers in North America, Borneo, Mexico, Namibia and Morocco through long-term field programmes.
We assist them in maintaining their traditional practices, conserving their biodiversity and securing their territories, livelihoods and foodways. We help strengthen leadership, funding and management of their organisations.
2013 to date
In collaboration with local associations, we support High Atlas rural communities to revitalise traditional practices, sustain livelihoods and restore nature.
In the cloud forests of Oaxaca state, we collaborated with Chinantec communities to secure food sovereignty and land tenure.
With Dusun communities in highland Sabah we helped communities document their cultural practices, supporting them to negotiate for their rights in protected area management.
We collaborated with San communities in the Omaheke region of Namibia to balance the need for economic opportunity, food security and education with maintenance of the Kalahari ecosystem.
