
Andreas Obrecht
Andreas Obrecht is senior policy advisor for biodiversity at the international affairs division of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). His main tasks are to serve as the national focal point for the Convention on Biological Diversity and to accompany various biodiversity-related international agreements and institutions. He received his MSc in Geography from University of Bern, where he specialized in climate reconstruction and phenology. After a a few years at an urban planning consultancy in Zurich and at the World Metorological Organization (WMO) in Geneva, he joined his current post three years ago.
